Axis Long Term Equity Fund

Axis Long Term Equity Fund is an open-ended equity linked saving scheme (ELSS) with a compulsory lock-in period of three years and comes with tax benefits under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act. The fund currently manages assets worth Rs 19,717.72 crore as on June 30, 2019. The fund has outperformed benchmark and category average across different time periods since its inception.

The investment objective of the fund is to generate income and long-term capital appreciation from a diversified portfolio of predominantly equity and equity related securities, according to Axis Mutual Fund.

Minimum investment required is Rs 500, and minimum additional investment is Rs 500. Minimum SIP investment is Rs 500. Axis Long Term Equity Fund is managed by Jinesh Gopani. He has been managing the fund since April, 2011.

According to the fund house, the fund is suitable for investors who have moderately high risk tolerance and who are seeking capital appreciation and generating income over long term. The suggested investment horizon for investing in Axis Long Term Equity Fund is three years and above.
