The India-China LAC border standoff continues in the northeastern Ladakh region. How will this impact stock markets? ET Now speaks with Times Network Defence Expert Maroof Raza whether this will snowball into something very big and drastic. He says, 'China is adamant on not following any earlier commitments, neither one giving an inch on the ground despite various levels of talks. Therefore the sequence of action is normally when talks reach a stalemate then troops are given a free hand to go and create initiative on the ground which gives you better negotiation positions in future talks and that is what is happening because along the line of actual control in particular not every inch of ground is either held by Indian or Chinese troops.
