Mid-tier IT services provider Mindtree has hired top talent from Genpact and Infosys and is looking to hire sales talent particularly in digital technology areas in the United States. Mindtree also brought in Vijay Ram as VP and head of technology & media in October who was previously Associate Vice President and Global Client Partner at Infosys.
Parekh is the man who has steered the return of India’s second-largest IT co to double-digit growth.
CEO Salil Parekh said that the digital business would cross more than 50% of its revenue as the IT services provider wins large deals from clients investing in technology to differentiate.
The company’s revenue dropped to $155.2 million, from $165 1 million a year ago.
Sengupta has a long history with Aegis. He was previously CEO of the company from from 2005 to 2012. He then became the CEO of Aditya Birla-owned BPO Minacs, which was acquired by US-listed Synnex. He is also an operating partner at Capital Square Partners, which bought Aegis and merged it with Startek in 2018.
IT clients have been shifting spends from existing technologies — used to currently run their businesses — to newer ones in order to deal with disruption from startups and demands from customers.
