    TajSATS Air Catering Limited appoints Manish Gupta as CEO

    NEW DELHI: Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) said on Thursday TajSATS Air Catering Limited, IHCL's joint venture with SATS has appointed Manish Gupta as the CEO.

    Puneet Chhatwal, MD and CEO of IHCL and chairman of TajSATS, said: “This is in line with our commitment to recognize and develop talent from within the organization. We are delighted to welcome Manish Gupta on board and believe he is best suited to take brand TajSATS to the next level."

    He added that Gupta will play an instrumental role in the TajSATS transformation as it expands its business.

    Gupta's career with IHCL began when he moved to the Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi as a restaurant manager. He rose through the ranks to become general manager of different hotels including the Rambagh Palace in Jaipur.

    Gupta said TajSATS is an integral part of the IHCL ecosystem.

    "I am really looking forward to this assignment and my endeavour will be to further strengthen our market leadership in the aviation business and unlock its potential in the non-aviation businesses as well.”

    Prior to this elevation Gupta was area director – East and general manager, Taj Bengal, looking after the Eastern India hotels, Bhutan and Nepal.
