Cleartrip launches end-to-end experiential travel in Europe, South East Asia

Globally, spends by travellers on tours, activities, attractions and events, reached US$ 135 billion in 2016, accounting for 10% of all global travel revenues.
Cleartrip said on Tuesday that it has expanded its international footprint by partnering with activities platforms, Klook and Musement. The company said the associations enable Cleartrip to augment its offerings with a new selection of activities and experiences, curated from 48 European and 18 South East Asian countries.

It said the access to Klook’s and Musement’s content, will enable Cleartrip to deliver international travel solutions across all touch points in the customer journey across a considerably wide geographic expanse.

Cleartrip added 90 leisure destinations across 200 cities in India to its portfolio over the last quarter. Over the next few quarters, Cleartrip is targeting a 60% growth from its current scale of delivering close to 100,000 experiences a month to both Indian and international tourists through its partnership with Klook and Musement.

Anand Kandadai, executive VP Cleartrip said: “Cleartrip has differentiated itself from other players by building a strong portfolio of activities and experiences across India and Middle East. Encouraging consumption for activities by outbound customers travelling to MENA region boosts our confidence about the global demand for this evolved version of travel planning and booking." he said and added: "Our partnership with Klook and Musement will play a vital role in helping us strengthen our international presence, starting with Europe and Southeast Asia, which are among the major travel markets in the world."

Globally, spends by travellers on tours, activities, attractions and events, reached US$ 135 billion in 2016, accounting for 10% of all global travel revenues. By 2020 the size of the activities and experiences market is estimated to be US$ 185 billion. Some experiences that Cleartrip customers will have access to include plantation dining in Coorg, beekeeping tours in Coorg, cycling tours in Delhi, harvesting crops in Kerala, and dolphin spotting in Goa.
