Google is shutting down Cloud Print, its cloud-based printing solution.

In a post shared on support.google.com, the tech giant said that the feature "will no longer be supported as of December 31, 2020. Beginning January 1, 2021, devices across all operating systems will no longer be able to print using Google Cloud Print."

Adding, "We recommend that over the next year, you identify an alternative solution and execute a migration strategy."

The feature that was introduced in 2010 still has a beta tag.

Several users took to social media to mourn the end of the feature. While one called the move a disaster, another asked Google to reconsider.

Google has not yet released any official communication as to why it is killing the service.
