    After Big B and Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai & daughter test positive for coronavirus

    MUMBAI: Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Sunday confirmed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya have tested coronavirus-positive, a day after father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and husband Abhishek Bachchan were admitted to Nanavati Hospital.

    In a now-deleted tweet, Tope also said that the Big B's actor-turned-politician-wife Jaya Bachchan tested negative. It was not clear whether the mother-daughter duo were quarantined at home or were also hospitalised, as Amitabh and Abhishek were on Saturday, when they said they had mild symptoms.

    Earlier on Sunday, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar had said Jaya Bachchan and Aishwarya had tested negative for coronavirus after the father son duo confirmed their COVID-19 test reports.

    The mayor declared the Bachchan residence a containment zone, and all residents have been quarantined for 14 days. Members of the Bachchan family underwent took the rapid antigen detection test.

    As per Assistant Municipal Commissioner Vishwas Mote's statement to news agency ANI, the rest of the family members - Jaya Bachchan, daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda and her children Agastya and Navya Naveli - have tested negative for COVID-19.

    Both were moved to the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai despite showing only mild symptoms and the father-son duo appealed to their millions of fans to stay calm.

    Authorities launched a massive sanitising drill at Bachchan's upscale residence in Mumbai, spraying disinfectant in the large compound and on cars parked there.

    Bachhan family should come out of this challenge with help of own resources & prayers along with positive vibes from their billion fans. Unknowingly they have helped indian society to realised fallacies of fame & finance & friends. Nature is great equalizer. Ignoring science or carelessness of anybody around can bring even Shanhenshah down. Stop believing in false Heros or false Gods.
