Cricketer Suresh Raina, comedian Hasan Minhaj, and King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of the Bhutanese royal family all welcomed a second child — a baby boy each — to their clans recently.

While there is no clarity on the Indian Premier League this season, cricketer Suresh Raina shared a hopeful message along with a picture of him and his wife holding up their bundle of joy. “The beginning of all things – wonder, hope, possibilities, and a better world! We are proud to welcome our son, and Gracia’s little brother — Rio Raina. May he flow beyond boundaries, bringing peace, renewal and prosperity to everyone’s life,” he wrote.
Minhaj echoed a similar sentiment, saying, “Even in these crazy times, there are so many beautiful moments.”

The Bhutan royal family used the announcement as an opportunity to remind people to be “mindful, responsible and supportive of each other in the wake of the Covid-19 virus”.
