A unicorn-themed cake, face-painting and a ferris wheel enthralled not just the children but also adults at the party, many of whom were spotted on the ride, in pictures doing the rounds on social media.
Shah Rukh Khan and wife Gauri arrived with son AbRam, who - as revealed by the Big B last year - believes that the megastar is SRK's father.
Film-maker Karan Johar brought twins Yash and Roohi to the party, and also took to Instagram to share a picture with them.
Actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia came with their little ones, Riaan and Rahyl, for the party.
The Big B penned a blog to mark the occasion, with a mention of traditions and celebrations having changed over time.
"The child grows up .. and celebrations keep in growth too .. for long have the traditions of the British been kept in place .. that of the cake .. I presume that a cake was a rarity during the time of the inception of this tradition .. so it became a rarity and hence to be brought about on special occasions .. the candle and the number of them for age and its blowing has remained for too long .. BUT .. what be the tradition or history of it.. (sic)
".. in my and our tradition in this part of the world the blowing of candles is an indication of an end .. here the blowing is an achievement of celebration .. so do we continue or change or what .. we in our family did .. the cake was replaced by a ‘khoye’ ki barfi’ and no candles.. are agarbatti jalo , kuch aur karo lekin batti na bujhao..," the 'Paa' star wrote.
The 77-year-old also shared a picture of himself with a neon-orange star painted on his face, saying, "The star on the face is the painted stall on the birthday celebrations of the ‘little one’ .. luminosity was the predominant theme among the young .. and each were lit up with their eminence.."
He also shared a picture with SRK and K-Jo from the celebration.
Happy mum Aishwarya Rai, on Wednesday, posted a picture of Aaradhya from the celebrations on Instagram, with the caption, "My world I love you infinitely."
Aishwarya and Abhishek tied the knot in 2007, and Aaradhya was born in 2011.
