ET Awards Winners Rishad Premji & Sriharsha Majety pick the most inspiring stories of the night.

Among the big winners, high-powered guests and industry heavy-hitters present at ET Awards, it was a small start-up bank that drummed up the most praise. Bandhan Bank’s inspiring story of disrupting the industry was a favourite of many leaders, especially those within the start-up community.

“The Bandhan Bank story was amazing. To be performing in that way in a sector that’s not been straightforward but still deliver phenomenal results is really inspiring,” said Swiggy co-founder and ET Entrepreneur of the Year - Sriharsha Majety.

The bank was also a favourite of Flipkart co-founder Sachin Bansal who believed Chandra Shekhar Ghosh had managed to create a lot of value in short period of time. “They are a start-up bank, doing better than many big banks, that’s truly inspirational,” he told ET Panache.

    Metro Man for the Win
Bandhan Bank may have impressed the start-up bosses but for Wipro Executive Chairman Rishad Premji, it was E Sreedharan’s story that inspired him the most.

Speaking to ET Panache at the end of the night, Premji said the story of the metro and infrastructure projects was one of the two stories that stood out for him across the night; the other being Mr Jaitley’s.
