Not just Delhiites, but the entire country was waiting for Delhi Assembly election results with bated breath. The exit polls almost unanimously indicated that the Aam Aadmi Party was headed for a sweep - and the results followed suit withCM Arvind Kejriwal’s model of governance trumping over all else.AAP won a whopping 62 seats while the Bharatiya Janata Party won 8, and the Congress struggled to win even a single seat.

Several B-Town celebs took to Twitter to congratulate Arvind Kejriwal for his victory. Actor Riteish Deshmukh, best known for his roles in films like ‘Housefull 4’ and ‘Dhamaal’, sent out a tweet congratulating the new Chief Minister of Delhi.

“Many congratulations on the huge mandate given to you & the @AamAadmiParty by the people of Delhi,” wrote Deshmukh.

Actress Swara Bhasker, who is known for voicing her political opinions unabashedly, took to Twitter to laud Delhiites for their decision. “Dilli Meri Jaan! Phir sey pyaar ho gaya tum sey!!,” wrote Bhasker in a tweet, which translates to, ‘Delhi, my love! I have fallen in love with you all over again’.

The ‘Veere Di Wedding’ star wrote another tweet, congratulating Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Atishi Marlena, Raghav Chadha and other members of the Aam Aadmi Party.

Actress Urmila Matondkar, who has been a member of the Congress for a short while, also tweeted out a congratulatory message for AAP.

“It’s also a victory of people of #Delhi as they show that we need to vote on d basis of Development n Progress for Progessive India.Bravo,” wrote Matondkar.

Singer Vishal Dadlani, too, was all praise for the man of the hour, Kejriwal. In a light-hearted jibe at the politician, Dadlani said that the new CM of Delhi is still not ready to leave IIT, referring to Kejriwal winning 90% of the seats.

Actress and model Gul Panag sent out a short tweet, lauding AAP for the clean sweep. “So, Delhi? 'Swept' again? Good for you,” wrote Panag in a tweet.

“In the face of grave provocation and polarisation, you stayed the course and fought this election on the basis of the work you did,” added the actress.

While tinsel town celebs continued expressing their joy over AAP’s clean sweep, Twitter had a field day making memes on AAP’s victory.

This Twitter user compared Kejriwal to a fictional character from the show ‘Sacred Games’, Ganesh Gaitonde.

Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari was the butt of most jokes, if not all.

Oh, and Twitter was in no mood to spare the Congress party which won zero seats, and in fact lost its security deposit in more than 60 seats.

Reema and Manoj Jain's son Armaan tied the knot with Anissa Malhotra at a star-studded bash in Mumbai. Malhotra was a traditional bride in a red lehenga that she paired with polki jewellery, and Jain turned groom in a white sherwani. The Kapoor khaandan turned baraatis in style, dancing their way to the venue in a convertible car. The couple's big day was preceded by mehendi and sangeet functions. The grandson of Raj Kapoor, Armaan, had proposed to his then-girlfriend of several years in 2018.
