Highlight: Value for money

Another week, another set of wireless earbuds. But with HT20, Lenovo is looking to offer an “affordable” alternative. The cost-cutting efforts show. Lenovo has made no attempt to make these earbuds look stylish or premium. The buds have a polycarbonate body charging case and it is bulky as well. It case won’t fit comfortably into your jeans’ pockets.

The earbuds have unusually long stems but they do fit in snugly into the ears and you need not worry about them falling off.

The device comes with a micro-USB port, which means you will have to carry a separate charging cable for these wireless earbuds.

However, you may not need to carry around the cable as HT20 comes with a long battery life. Lenovo claims they can last up to 25 hours with the wireless charging case and 5 hours on a single charge. In our experience, these claims hold true and we had no complaints with the battery life of the HT20.

The sound output from these wireless earbuds is surprisingly good. We were not expecting it as the design disappointed us.

There is sufficient level of bass and the highs and lows are spot on. Vocals sound clear and the instrument separation also stands out. There is no noise cancellation tech but that is not expected either.

Call quality on the HT20 is reasonably good and overall, these headphones live up to the expectations.

If you are looking for a true wireless experience but your budget is low, the HT20 is a reliable option as long as you can look past its design.
