No, Alia Bhatt & Ranbir Kapoor aren't getting married. Fake wedding card goes viral, & fans can't keep calm
The fake card sent fans into a tizzy.
A wedding card has been doing the rounds on social media, and at the first glance, it looks like something that will break the internet. The card reads, "Mrs Neetu and Mr Rishi Kapoor cordially invite you for the Sagan ceremony of their son Ranbir with Aliya (D/0 Mrs Soni and Mr Mukesh Bhatt) on Wednesday, 22th January 2020, 5.00 pm onwards. Venue: Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur".
However, at a closer look, the reality seems quit different. The 'supposedly' Alia-Ranbir wedding card is riddled with typos and wrong information.
What's happening ?!!!!! #RanbirKapoor #AliaBhatt https://t.co/9GieOrNSjU— Rk❤ (@Khloudii5) 1571657332000
Still didn't spot the errors? Have a another look. The card shows an incorrect spelling of Alia's name - Aliya. And, the second glaring mistake is of the alleged bride's father's name. Alia is Mahesh Bhatt's daughter and Mukesh Bhatt's niece. Moreover, the Sagan date is wrongly mentioned as 22th, instead of 22nd.
Meanwhile, the actress denied the rumours when the paparazzi tried confirming the wedding news at the Mumbai airport. She was quoted, "What do I say?!" After a pause, she said: "No".
The couple were on a trip to Africa in September.
In August, the 'Dear Zindagi' actress became the brand ambassador of Mohey Fashion, from the house of women's ethnic wear brand Manyavar. She posted pictures of her in bridal lehengas with the hashtag - #DulhanWaliFeeling, and her fans couldn't stop gushing over her.

On the work front, Ranbir and Alia will be seen together in Ayan Mukerji's "Brahmastra", which is expected to release next year. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan.
