Not just good pay, employees want work-life balance, too, to stay happy

The importance of work-life balance has increased to 46% this year.

Want your employees to be happy? Give them work-life balance. A recent survey covering 75 per cent of the global economy, with 32 participating countries and more than 2,00,000 respondents worldwide, reveals that salary and employee benefits are the top factors one considers while choosing an employer, followed by work-life balance and job security. The importance of work-life balance has increased even further (46 per cent) compared to the past two years. The survey also indicates that employees in India are willing to place a premium on job security.
