In 2017, GVK vice chairman Sanjay Reddy ran his first full marathon in Berlin, Germany. Fast forward to 2020, when he returned to the capital for another full and ended up setting a personal record for himself.

Reddy finished his 2017 full marathon in Berlin in four hours and 38 minutes. It was his first full, and he had started preparing for 18 weeks in advance. Until the Berlin run, this Hyderabad-based businessman had only run half marathons in Mumbai and Delhi. And his latest record is testament to the fact that Reddy has stayed dedicated to the sport.

Reddy’s wife Pinky applauded her husband’s latest feat on Instagram, sharing his picture with the caption, “Sanjay finished his full marathon (42.2km) in Delhi today at 3 hours 44 minutes (speed 11.5 km per hour) which is his fastest full. He’s on top of the world.... so proud of him.”

With this new record, Reddy has improved his performance by nearly an hour.
