Samsung Galaxy M40 with Snapdragon 675, 32MP triple rear camera launched at Rs 19,990
The device will come in two colours – Midnight Blue and Seawater Blue.
The M40 comes with a 6.3-inch super AMOLED display with ‘Infinity O’ style notch. It is the first smartphone in its price segment to offer this hole punch style notch. The screen has FHD+ resolution, 1200:1 contrast, 480 nits brightness and protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
This is also Samsung’s first smartphone offering with a Qualcomm processor. It is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 675 processor, Adreno 612 GPU, 6GB DDR4X RAM and 128GB of storage (expandable, up to 512GB supported). There is a 3,500mAh battery with fast charge support via USB Type-C – a 15W fast charger is included in the price.
In the camera department, Samsung offers a triple rear camera setup on the Galaxy M40. It has a 32MP primary shooter (f1.7) + 8MP ultra-wide (f2.2)+ 5MP depth sensor (f2.2) camera setup with dual LED flash. There is 4k video recording, hyperlapse as well as Slow-motion support.
On the front is a 16MP selfie shooter with f2.0 aperture and HDR support. Other features include a rear fingerprint scanner, hybrid dual SIM slot, dual-band WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC and Dolby Atmos audio. It runs Samsung One UI based on Android 9.0 and has Face unlock as well.
Priced at RS 19,990, the Samsung Galaxy M40 will come in two colours – Midnight Blue and Seawater Blue. It will go on sale from 18th June on Amazon India and Samsung’s e-store.
