Why would you want to buy an expensive tablet when there are ample value-for-money smartphones with large screens? Very few brands could come up with a tablet that could answer this question, thus, making Apple and Samsung the only noticeable ones to keep the tablet market alive. For Samsung, the new Galaxy Tab S6 is all about offering the best of Galaxy Note 10 with a massive 10.5-inch screen.

Armed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, the Galaxy Tab S6 is meant for those who do not want to take out their laptops for entertainment or work needs and instead just wish if only their smartphones had slightly bigger screen.

The Galaxy Tab S6 is all about watching Netflix, working on sheets or cloud apps and gaming in the familiar Android ecosystem on a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display. And if you are willing to pay Rs 10,999 for the keyboard cover then the device converts into a full-fledged always-on PC with a SIM card slot. The keyboard cover may sound like overkill but there’s a free S-Pen to console you if at all you need it.

If you are smirking at the thought of getting a PC-like experience from Tab S6 then Samsung wants to gain your confidence with DeX. Yes, there’s a dedicated desktop mode to enable you to do serious work. Not just that, you can connect the Tab S6 to a monitor and even use the tablet as a touch keypad.

Now talking about all the fancy features, the Tab S6 comes with four speakers tuned by AKG and Dolby Atmos. While the audio quality will easily please mostly everyone but do note that there’s no headphone jack and you don’t get free earphones out-of-the-box. If you really consider clicking photos using a tablet then there’s a dual-lens 13MP+5MP camera at the back that are quite capable of producing Instagram-worthy photos. For video calls, there’s a good quality 8MP front camera. The device is powered by a massive 7040mAh battery which lasts a little over a day of regular usage. Enterprise-grade Samsung Knox secures the Tab S6 and there’s a in-display optical fingerprint scanner as well.

The Galaxy Tab S6 does sound pricey at Rs 59,900 plus Rs 10,999 if you want the keyboard cover. With this money you can buy a good Windows 10 laptop. But will you take this laptop out to continue watching your favourite show on Netflix while travelling to office? With the Tab S6, you most likely will.
