Tarini Jindal Handa (L) recently added a Lubna Chowdhary (R) piece to her art collection
For Tarini Jindal Handa, MD, JSW Living, it seems that home is where the art is. The young heiress is an avid art collector and some of her most favourite pieces include those by artists who have a strong sense of art and design and blur the lines between both. At an event she shared what’s next on her must-have art list.

“A piece that I am trying to get is by a young British artist named Annie Morris. She does these totem poles with pigment colour and I’ve been after it for about two years. I have been to her studio, have met her and tried to convince her. But it hasn’t happened yet,” she said.

But, thankfully, she’s had much better luck in the past. “I got a really good steal when I got a piece by Lubna Chowdhary — an Indian-British artist. I am obsessed with ceramics and when I saw her work, it was one of those instinctual pieces — I knew it wanted it. I think I got a really good deal.”

Suffice to say that those who successfully placed their bids that night, walked away with some largish works. When hanging on the wall, many of these works would be hard to miss, rather they’d dominate. Here are some works that were auctioned.
