To consummate viewers of American television shows, these names bring to mind fictional female characters in two popular shows. To Taylor Swift, they are her Scottish fold cats. Being nominated for top honours like the “cutest musician pet” comes after a hard day’s work, often times. Benson (R), the younger of the two, has appeared in videos and commercials alongside Swift. According to a 2018 Pet Rich List, Benson is worth $97 million.

Choupette

When Karl Lagerfeld died earlier this year, he was famously survived by his fashion legacy as well as his beloved Choupette, a Burmese cat. And considering that this furball is used to zipping around in private jets and multiple servants who tend to her white fur and blue eyes, she needs that $200 million inheritance, or at least a part of it. Of course, if work keeps pouring in (she’s been a car brand ambassador and has her own beauty line), Choupette can keep adding to her coffers.

This Italian kitty’s now dead owner may not have headline-grabbing credentials. But by bestowing upon Tommasino, a black stray, an inheritance of $15.6 million in 2011, 94-year-old Maria Assunta ensured that her cat had better luck than her in the fame department. The widow of a successful builder, Assunta owned several properties. Street Cat Bob
6 May, 2019
The story of this ginger cat and his author-owner James Bowen is slightly different. The duo saw their fortunes change together, and in fact gave each other a leg up in that regard. Bowen was homeless and a drug addict, making his living as a street busker when he ran into this injured ginger cat. In a manner of speaking, the two adopted each other. Tending to Bob helped Bowen overcome his addiction and he went on to even write books with titles inspired by his beloved cat. As the books gained popularity, the duo rose in prominence and opportunities came pouring in. Apparently today, Bob is worth almost $5 million.
