What does one look for in a good laptop? Futuristic features, trusted processor, innovative design – and to top it all up, a sleek and stylish finish. Laptops have become more than just working tools. They are there for us, when we are craving some leisure time. And with the right design, they make a statement, catch people’s attention and bring out your most stylish and primp side!

One laptop that brings out this new side of the laptops has to be the HP Spectre X360 . It converts into a tablet, and is touted to be the world’s ‘most powerful convertible’! Apart from being unusual, creative, beautiful and brilliantly useful, it is fast and performs with excellence. So much so that it got Bollywood’s glam diva, Sonam Kapoor, to showcase not one but three different looks inspired by its design, colour and technology. Take a look:

We’re sure you couldn’t take your eyes off Sonam and her creative influence - the super sexy gadget with its sharp angular corners on the chassis where the keyboard and display meet. This unconventional and futuristic feel has a separate fan base, making it difficult to decide who is the muse here - Sonam Kapoor or the HP Spectre X360!.

Everything that makes the HP Spectre X360 a head-turner
Technology has been opening new ways for us to take our style to the next level. Time and again, the style and tech industries have come together to ensure our fits are tuned in to the latest trends. And HP Spectre X360 is taking this game up a notch with its sleek gadget.

Cut: Referring to the laptop’s design as having 'a jeweller’s touch,' HP wants its users to witness refinement and precision in every angle, facet and edge of the device with their gem cut design. Invoking true sophistication and scrupulous attention to detail, this laptop has some premium features and serious attention to detail going, just like Sonam Kapoor’s ensemble in the promotional video.

This new version of the13-inch Spectre x360 convertible laptop, the Project Athena-class hybrid notebook is smaller than its predecessor yet features higher performance, improved responsiveness, an optional OLED monitor, improved security, and a battery life of up to 22 hours*. The 2-in-1 convertible shaves off nearly an inch of depth, packs a tiny IR camera into its super-slim display bezel, boasts crazy battery life, and switches effortlessly from clamshell mode to a tablet, thanks to its 360-degree hinge. Oh, and Ice Lake!

Colour: The 2019 HP Spectre 13 x360 comes in an all-new CNC-machined aluminium chassis with Poseidon Blue or Dark Ash Grey finish. It has narrower bezels that empowered HP to make the convertible laptop smaller without compromising on the 13.3-inch display size. If you watched the video carefully, you must have noticed how Sonam Kapoor’s dresses and makeup flash great similarities with the laptop’s design and colour philosophy- edgy, sharp, and suave.

Its diamond-shaped edges, as well as an angled USB Type-C connector, sit on the faceted edge on the right. The new hybrid notebook is based on Intel’s 8 th Generation i5 / i7 processor and Intel UHD graphics 620. With a smaller motherboard, the CPU benefits greatly from a good cooling system; and HP has done a great job in enhancing its thermal design too.

Technology: The premium Ultrabook for the style-conscious business traveller measures just 14.7mm thin and doesn't weigh much at 1.32kg. The bronze sides deliberately taper towards the front, creating the visual illusion that the laptop is a lot slimmer than it actually is. Its attractive block-machined aluminium design with double barrel hinges let you flip the 4K touchscreen into tablet mode.

The gadget is particularly great for privacy freaks who wouldn’t stop appreciating its ‘Sure View’ mode. It can be activated from the keyboard and makes the screen appear dark for everyone but you. The person sitting next to you can only see a dark laptop screen. With no prying eyes on your screen, you may work comfortably outdoors or while commuting via public transport. The laptop also comes with a Fingerprint Reader that allows you to seamlessly access the device while continuing to keep it secure. To ensure maximum security and privacy, the notebook comes with a webcam kill switch but a dedicated microphone mute button. Can we send a petition to HP to introduce this option on all of its ultrabook models?

Also, this high-end machine has a sturdy built, with the strong and more durable Corning Gorilla Glass NBTTM displays, that captures 8.2 million pixels. The videos and pictures truly come to life on the HP Spectre X360. Talking of multimedia, the computer has a Windows Hello-enabled webcam, which offers an 88-degree wide-angle field of view; HP quad speakers co-designed with Bang & Olufsen, which comes with HP Audio Boost.

Last word: HP has created yet another excellent 2-in-1 device with the Spectre x360 that packs a refined design and upgraded internals, making it a solid performer with the looks to match. If you’re in the market for a laptop which doubles as a tablet, and can match your individuality and fashion statement, this is surely worth consideration. After all, it tempted the fashion queen Sonam Kapoor to wear looks that redefine power-dressing created by none other than the celebrity stylist Anaita Shroff Adjania. It will be safe to say that technology continues to advance capabilities within the realm of fashion.
