Ask the travel expert: For a family trip around December end, opt for Bhutan or Nepal

My company plans to reward 70-100 exceptional performers from our sales team with a super-exclusive trip. What kind of destinations would you recommend?
For a trip like this, I would say focus on experiences that will stay with them forever. Northern lights in the Scandinavian Arctic Region of Rovaniemi or in Reykjavik, Iceland, a multicultural journey into Israel, or exploring Cancun, Reunion Island, the Greek Islands and Anchorage to name a few. If time is not a constraint, the Canadian Rockies or the South Island of New Zealand both offer beautiful and unforgettable sights as well plenty of adventure activities that get your adrenaline rushing!

I’m planning a family trip at the end of December. What locations would you recommend in India? I usually prefer locations that are scenic and close to nature that include other leisure activities.
Several places in the North East and South of India fit the bill for your kind of holiday. You can’t go wrong with Gangtok and Darjeeling, or even countries such as Bhutan and Nepal. In South India, you can choose Ooty and club it with Kodaikanal. Most of these places are hill stations with temperatures ranging between 3 to 9 degrees Celsius during the month of December. Don’t forget to carry enough winter wear!

Travel tip
Carry a basic first-aid kit. Accidents happen so be prepared just in case!

My fiancée and I plan on going to Europe for our honeymoon in January, but we would rather not go to a country which is extremely cold. Is there any place in Europe we could consider during that time? Alternatively, which other destination would you recommend? We prefer calm and quiet places which are naturally beautiful with scenic views and would like to avoid pure beach destinations.
During the month of January, almost all of Europe faces extremely low temperatures. Therefore, the challenge of the winter season will be there across Europe. Spain, France, Switzerland offer some of the best experiences for honeymoons. Alternatively, in January New Zealand experiences the season of summer with a pleasant and sunny weather across the country. It is also known to have similar landscapes as Europe, so you will get the advantage of experiencing scenery similar to Europe with weather conditions matching your needs! The country also has several cities located near the coasts, those of which are not purely beach destinations per say.

We are a group of 12 people visiting Singapore in May. Since we have a packed schedule, our plan is to visit Universal Studios on the last day of our stay and take the evening flight home. Do you think we can pull it off?
Universal Studios is generally open till 7 pm so you can easily enjoy your last day here before flying out. My advice is to start early so you have plenty of time inside. You can also carry your luggage and store it in lockers at Universal Studios’ entrance or rental counter, for a fee. Keep in mind that travel time between Universal and Singapore’s Changi airport is generally around 25-45 minutes, depending on traffic.
