Embrace The Majestic Himalayas
Known as one of the most diverse treks in Nepal, the Annapurna Circuit doesn’t offer luxurious comforts, but it does offer extreme solitude and landscapes. The trail ascends to 4,622 m before dropping down to reach a high-altitude plateau which meanders south along the Kali Gandkhi river valley. The beautiful trek features on the bucket list of many seasoned trekkers. The trek can be executed during a nine-day course to a month long one allowing you to tread along the entire Annapurna massif.
Apart from this extreme adventure, you can head to the scenic Pokhara. Enveloped by mountains, the tranquil town is dotted with lakes. You stand a chance to enjoy numerous soft adventures around the lake. You can further add Nagarkot to your itinerary too. About 225 Kms away from Pokhara, Nagarkot, located in the central region of Nepal offers the clear view of Himalayas. Eight out of the 13 ranges of the mighty Himalayan Ranges can be viewed from here.
Soak Up The Pristine Landscapes
The tiny landlocked Bhutan is known for its mystical monasteries, artistic fortresses and enormous mountains. Above all it's the serenity and vibrant culture that draws many. Apart from elevations above the 3,000 meters, you will experience quite pleasant temperatures during a day. You can catch the black-necked cranes migrating to this country during the winter season. Apart from that, the numerous tshechu (religious Bhutanese festivals) take place during winter, which make a visit well worth it. Druk Wangyel Tshechu, held annually around the first week of December in the scenic Dochu-la pass above Thimphu, is one festival that's a must. Trongsa Tshechu held in December or January in the ancient castle of Trongsa dzong is attractive too.
