The Cochin Carnival that takes place at Fort Kochi annually brings the people of Kochi together. Fort Kochi is the centre of all the merriment that takes place at the time of the Cochin Carnival.

The well-lit Fort Kochi boasts of a cheerful ambience during this time. Being the meeting ground of a large number of people dressed in brightly coloured clothes, the sight is a visual delight.

Locals, mainly youngsters, participate in various activities, games and competitions like beach bike race, sea swimming, and beach football and volleyball in large numbers.

The colourful fiesta attracts a large number of visitors particularly on the New Year’s Day. The music created by the harmonious blending of five instruments called Panchavadyam forms a vital backdrop at the fest. Watch out for the elaborate displays mounted on platforms. A number of classical dance forms are showcased as part of the procession.

India Bike Week (IBW) is a popular motorbike festival happening in Goa and will see over 20,000 motorcycling enthusiasts converging at Vagator from across the country. The 6th edition of IBW is packed with unique events like the IBW - Bike Build Off – India’s premier competition for customised bikes.

It will witness some of the greatest creations on two wheels. There’s also the IBW film festival that showcases some interesting stories of long distance, transnational bike trips on celluloid.

IBW will also have the BikerInsta booth, Bonfire at Club Village representing the 200+ Riding Clubs participating at IBW. Collectors Corner will showcase some of the best, most incredible, Vintage, Classic, Large Bore bikes in India.

The line-up will be presented by Swaran Bajaj, Hafeez Contractor and Jehangir Faroogh. There’s the 4x4 Track and a host of other incredible firsts for IBW in 2019.
