The NSE Nifty index was trading 2.30 points up at 12,128.20.
NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea with over 20.78 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Thursday.

Shares of YES Bank (number of shares traded: 1.51 crore), Tata Motors (number of shares traded: 0.92 crore), Max Financial Services (number of shares traded: 0.54 crore), SBI (number of shares traded: 0.52 crore), NCC (number of shares traded: 0.37 crore), Reliance Power (number of shares traded: 0.37 crore), Aurobindo Pharma (number of shares traded: 0.31 crore), IndusInd Bank (number of shares traded: 0.30 crore) and Bharti Infratel (number of shares traded: 0.30 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

IRCTC (Rs 490.53 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.

It was followed by IndusInd Bank (Rs 354.43 crore), Max Financial Services (Rs 300.48 crore), Aurobindo Pharm (Rs 186.54 crore), RIL (Rs 173.14 crore), SBI (Rs 168.12 crore), Tata Motors (Rs 146.57 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 144.19 crore), ICICI Bank (Rs 96.94 crore) and Vodafone Idea (Rs 94.33 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 2.30 points up at 12,128.20, while the BSE Sensex was down 1.11 points at 41,321.89 around 09:30 am.

In the Nifty index, IndusInd Bank (up 3.04 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (up 1.73 per cent), YES Bank (up 1.70 per cent), Tata Motors (up 1.68 per cent) and Bharti Infratel (up 1.62 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.96 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation (down 0.81 per cent), Coal India (down 0.59 per cent), Nestle India (down 0.58 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever (down 0.55 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
