Buzzing stocks: ZEEL, Vodafone Idea, Dish TV, BPCL

ZEEL (Rs 851.35 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 2.60 points down at 11,996.50.
NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea with over 35.31 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Thursday.

Shares of Dish TV India (number of shares traded: 4.27 crore) , NCC (number of shares traded: 3.29 crore) , YES Bank (number of shares traded: 2.99 crore) , Zee Ent. (number of shares traded: 2.49 crore) , Reliance Comm (number of shares traded: 1.69 crore) , Reliance Power (number of shares traded: 1.14 crore) , Hind Const Co (number of shares traded: 1.12 crore) , UCO Bank (number of shares traded: 0.98 crore) and Alok Industries (number of shares traded: 0.79 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on the NSE.

ZEEL (Rs 851.35 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.

It was followed by BPCL (Rs 332.02 crore) , IndusInd Bank (Rs 250.05 crore) , Idea Cellular (Rs 247.50 crore) , RIL (Rs 237.33 crore) , NCC (Rs 220.85 crore) , Larsen & Toubro (Rs 211.97 crore) , Bharti Airtel (Rs 195.85 crore) , YES Bank (Rs 195.64 crore) and SBI (Rs 189.22 crore)

The NSE Nifty index was trading 2.60 points down at 11,996.50, while the BSE Sensex was up 7.77 points at 40,659.41 around 09:42 am.

In the Nifty index, Zee Entertainment Enterprises (up 8.03 per cent) , Larsen & Toubro (up 2.33 per cent) , IndusInd Bank (up 1.39 per cent) , HCL Technologies (up 1.08 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (up 0.76 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Bharti Infratel (down 3.01 per cent) , Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 2.21 per cent) , Bharti Airtel (down 1.74 per cent) , GAIL (India) (down 1.08 per cent) and Axis Bank (down 0.96 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
