NEW DELHI: Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange were trading 30.50 points, or 0.27 per cent, lower at 11,359, indicating a negative start for the Nifty50. Here's a look at the top stocks that may hog the limelight in today's session:

BoB, Vijaya, Dena Bank: The government proposed the merger of three banks — Bank of Baroda, Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank —aimed at creating the country’s third-biggest lender. The boards of the three banks will now consider the proposal.

Lakshmi Vilas Bank: AION Capital Partners, the joint venture between global PE fund Apollo Global and domestic fund ICICI Venture, has joined the race to acquire a significant minority stake in Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB), according to two people aware of the development.

Idea Cellular: The board of Vodafone Idea (VIL) has approved the merger of its unit Aditya Birla Telecom (ABTL) with itself, moving a step closer towards monetising the company’s 11.15% stake in Indus Towers to pare debt.

GMR Infrastructure: The company is looking to monetise land parcels around the Hyderabad international airport, which it owns and operates.“The company has formed a strategy to develop logistics parks, a commercial centre and a retail hub on the airport city land,” said Aman Kapoor, chief executive of airport land development at GMR Airports.

SBEC Sugar: Markets regulator Sebi Monday directed Uttar Pradesh based SBEC Sugar's promoter group to make an open offer regarding the purchase of company's shares. In addition to it, the regulator ordered the firm to pay the consideration amount along with an interest at an annual rate of 10 per cent to the shareholders who were holding shares in the firm.

Tata Motors: Britain’s biggest carmaker Jaguar Land Rover said it will go down to a three-day week at its Central English Castle Bromwich plant just days after its boss warned about the impact of Brexit and diesel policy.

Nagarjuna Oil Corporation: The bankruptcy court has asked creditors of Nagarjuna Oil Corporation to explain the basis of liquidation value of the Chennai-based company’s assets and why they rejected some resolution plans.
