“The issue will be resolved in couple of minutes,” the brokerage house said.
NEW DELHI: The country’s largest retail broker Zerodha in a tweet on Thursday said that it is experiencing difficulties in placing orders with its OMS (Order Management System).

The company is investigating the issue, it said.

The discount broking firm in an interaction with ETNow said that some customers were not able to put in orders. “The issue will be resolved in couple of minutes,” the brokerage house said.

Zerodha had 9.09 lakh active clients as of July 2019 end compared with ICICI Securities’ 8.44 lakh customers, HDFC Securities (6.72 lakh), Sharekhan (5.09 lakh), Kotak Securities (4.37 lakh), Axis Securities (4.19 lakh) and Angel Broking (4.12 lakh), according to data available with NSE.

The issue left the investors miffed. A Twitter user Shrenik Shah said Sebi should penalise the company.

Nikhil Kamath, Zerodha founder and CEO, later clarified to ETMarkets.com that there were some issues with connectivity between 10 am and 10.20 am but everything is working fine now.
