Share market update: BSE Telecom index dips 1%; GTPL, ITI among top losers

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 51.30 points at 10,770.30 while the BSE Sensex was down 177.38 points at 35,929.12.

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Telecom index was trading 1.01 per cent down at 1037.97 in the Friday afternoon trading session.

Shares of OnMobile Global (down 2.87 per cent) , Bharti Infratel (down 2.01 per cent) , Tejas Networks (down 1.79 per cent) and GTPL Hathway (down 1.71 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

Vindhya Telelinks (down 1.52 per cent), Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) (down 1.27 per cent) and ITI (down 1.08 per cent) too were trading with losses.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 51.30 points at 10,770.30 while the BSE Sensex was down 177.38 points at 35,929.12 around 12:55 pm.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.

Shares of Reliance Communications, GRUH Finance, Arvind, YES Bank, Aurobindo Pharma, HFCL, JP Associates, Tata Motors, Union Bank India, Suzlon Energy, NCC, JSPL, ICICI Bank, Ashok Leyland, South Indian Bank and IDFC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
