Share market update: Fertilizer stocks up; Zuari Agro jumps 9%

Zuari Agro (up 9.12 per cent), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (up 5.42 per cent) and Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers (up 5.06 per cent) were the top gainers among fertilizer stocks.
NEW DELHI: Fertilizer stocks were trading on a bullish note in Thursday's afternoon session.

Shares of Zuari Agro (up 9.12 per cent), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (up 5.42 per cent), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers (up 5.06 per cent), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore (up 4.08 per cent), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 4.08 per cent), National Fertilizer (up 3.83 per cent) and GSFC (up 3.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals (up 2.82 per cent), Southern Petrochemicals Industries (up 2.17 per cent), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals (up 2.17 per cent), Aries Agro (up 2.16 per cent), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem (up 1.52 per cent), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers (up 1.48 per cent) and Coromandel International (up 0.55 per cent) were the other gainers among fertilizer stocks.

Indra Industries (down 4.96 per cent), Rama Phosphates (down 0.71 per cent) and Bharat Agri Fertiliszer & Realty (down 0.06 per cent) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty 50 index was trading 49.30 points down at 12165.25, while the 30 shares BSE Sensex was down 162.06 points at 41299.2 at around 02:11 pm.
