Share market update: Nifty Service sector index down; IndusInd Bank loses 6%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Services sector index was trading in the red in Wednesday's afternoon session.

Shares of IndusInd Bank (down 4.42 per cent), Shriram Transport Finance (down 4.0 per cent), Wipro (down 3.73 per cent), RBL Bank (down 2.16 per cent), Container Corporation of India (down 1.46 per cent), Infosys (down 1.37 per cent), State Bank of India (down 1.31 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 1.1 per cent), Axis Bank (down 1.03 per cent) and HDFC (down 1.03 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

While Yes Bank (up 5.71 per cent), Zee Entertainment (up 1.3 per cent), Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 0.86 per cent), NTPC (up 0.53 per cent), Bajaj Finserv (up 0.15 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance (up 0.11 per cent) and Bajaj Finance (up 0.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Services Sector index was trading 0.88 per cent down at 17565.45 around 12:27 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty-50 index was down 72.75 points at 12289.55, while the BSE Sensex was 262.83 points at 41689.8.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodefone Idea, NBCC , JSPL, SBI, Tata Global Beverages, SAIL, Tata Motors, GMR Infra and Indiabulls Housing Finance were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
