Share market update: Private Bank shares dip; RBL Bank falls over 5%

NEW DELHI: Shares of Private banks were trading with losses in Monday's afternoon session.

Shares of RBL Bank (down 5.29 per cent), HDFC Bank (down 3.81 per cent), Federal Bank (down 3.44 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 3.06 per cent) were the worst performers in the index.

DCB Bank (down 1.86 per cent), IDFC First Bank (down 1.49 per cent) and IndusInd Bank (down 0.87 per cent) too were trading in the red.

The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 1.69 per cent down at 16,023.15 around 12:11 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 96.90 points at 11,322.35 while the BSE Sensex was down 366.97 points at 37,970.04.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Dish TV India, Indian Oil Corp, Vedanta, Ashok Leyland, Tata Motors, L&T Fin Holding, SAIL and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
