    Stock market update: Private banks mixed; YES Bank gains 3%

    Synopsis

    The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.02 per cent up at 17,362.2.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 5.30 points at 11,926.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 21.2 points at 40,466.35.

    NEW DELHI: Shares of private banks were trading on a mixed note in Monday's morning session.

    Shares of YES Bank (up 3.04 per cent), RBL Bank (up 0.92 per cent), Federal Bank (up 0.53 per cent), IndusInd Bank (up 0.30 per cent) were among the top gainers.

    While Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.80 per cent), City Union Bank (down 0.37 per cent), IDFC First Bank (down 0.23 per cent), HDFC Bank (down 0.12 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

    The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.02 per cent up at 17,362.2 around 10:12 am.

    Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 5.30 points at 11,926.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 21.2 points at 40,466.35.

    Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.

    Shares of Vofafone Idea, YES Bank, SBI, JSPL, Bank of Baroda, Indiabulls Housing, Bharti Infratel, Zee Entertainment, Tata Motors and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
