Rating agency ICRA cut Edelweiss Financial’s long-term NCD rating
NEW DELHI: Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange were trading 1.50 points, or 0.01 per cent, lower at 11,867.50, indicating a flat start for Dalal Street. Here are a few stocks which may buzz the most in today’s trade:

Mindtree: The founders of Mindtree are likely to sell their stake to Larsen & Toubro, as the engineering conglomerate gets ready to take control of the $1 billion mid-tier IT services provider they co-founded two decades ago, people familiar with the development said.

SBI: The bank board will consider raising additional tier-1 capital on July 1. The board will consider raising capital via Basel-III compliant debt instruments during the financial year 2020.

Godrej Properties: Godrej family is discussing ways to rework certain family agreements. The crux of the issue appears to be the concentration of the family’s land holding in Godrej & Boyce and its commercial exploitation by the group’s listed arm Godrej Properties, two officials close to the development said.

Emami, UltraTech: The Emami Group is in exploratory talks with investors such as Ultra-Tech Cement and private equity funds including KKR and Temasek Holdings to sell stakes in the cement business, valuing it at Rs 5,000-5,500 crore.

Adani Port & Special Economic Zone: Gautam Adani-controlled Adani Ports is raising $750 million by selling overseas bonds to global investors. Proceeds from the bond sale would be used for capital expenditure and extinguishing high-cost debt.

TGBL: The Tata Group has shortlisted a few candidates to become the new chief executive of its beverages company Tata Global Beverages (TGBL) to help build a scalable FMCG business in India, people familiar with the development said.

Britannia Industries: FMCG major Britannia Industries dispelled speculations over the resignation of its managing director Varun Berry from the company.

Bharti Airtel: Airtel Africa’s planned initial public offering on the London Stock Exchange is expected to price at 80 pence, the bottom end of its indicated price range, one of the bookrunners handling the sale said.

Reliance Infra: Ratings firm CARE has downgraded the short- and longterm credit ratings of Reliance Infrastructure to ‘D’, suggesting that the Anil Ambani Group company’s debt instruments are either in default or expected to be in default on maturity.

Edelweiss Financial Services: Rating agency ICRA cut Edelweiss Financial’s long-term NCD rating to AAfrom AA with a negative outlook. It also cut Piramal Capital & Housing Finance’s NCD, Tier 2 bonds and bank facilities to AA from AA+, citing rising funding problems.

Welspun India: The company’s JV with Sense Organics Import & Trading bought 51 per cent stake in Pure Sense Organics Myanmar, Welspun told exchanges on Wednesday.

HDFC Bank: India’s most valuable lender HDFC Bank is planning an initial public offering for its non-banking unit HDB Financial Services, people aware of the development told ET.

TechM: IT services firm Tech Mahindra hopes to strike large deals with clients in the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector even though companies are cutting down on technology spends, a top company executive said.
