Yes Bank: Those summoned by ED seek more time to join probe

Jet Airways promoter Naresh Goyal excused himself saying he had to attend to an ailing relative, according to the people, and ADAG chairman Anil Ambani said “prior commitments” prevented him from appearing on Monday.

Mumbai: Promoters of most of the borrowing entities summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) this week in the money laundering case against Yes Bank co-founder Rana Kapoor and others have sought more time from the federal agency to join the probe.

Indiabulls group chairman Samir Gehlaut and DHFL promoter Kapil Wadhawan gave Covid-19 as the reason for seeking a future date while Subhash Chandra, chairman of Essel group, who was to appear on Tuesday, cited his Rajya Sabha commitment for expressing his inability to join the probe, said people aware of the matter.
