Congress has big reasons for worry in Karnataka, according to exit polls
All exit polls - Times Now-VMR, Today's Chanakya, News18-IPSOS and India Today-Axis - predict the BJP to get more than 20 out of 28 seats which is more than last time. Which means that the Congress- JDS has failed to work on the ground. This could spell more trouble for the coalition government in the state which has only a thin majority. Already there are MLAs sropping out there; the result if it holds true could deliver a mortal blow.

NDA numbers may be less than 2014, but that would still be a ringing endorsement
To sum up, Times Now-VMR Exit Poll suggests that Narendra Modi is all set to return as the Prime Minister of India though with a much-reduced majority. BJP led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is likely to get 306 seats out of 542 seats that went to polls. That’s a comfortable 34 seats more than the required halfway mark of 272 seats. Though in terms of sheer seat numbers, the NDA has come down from 352 to 306 (minus 46), vote share of the Modi alliance has shot up from 39.3% in 2014 to 41.1% in 2019 which is an upward swing of 1.8% votes. But the likely vote share increase would signal an endorsement of PM Modi
The Times Now-VMR exit poll had a sample size of 40,000. Here are the key takeaways:
1. Modi is set to be Prime Minister
2. Congress is staring at a crisis 3. BJP stems its loses in Uttar Pradesh 4. Lotus blooms in the east 5. Congress loses the MP, Rajasthan edge

BJP takes a blow in AP as the party is projected to lose the two seats it won in 2014. Chandrababu Naidu too is in for a shock. The TDP numbers are projected to come down from 15 seats in 2014 to just 7 in 2019. Vote share of Naidu's party is slipping by 10%, down to 30% compared to the 40% vote share that the TDP had logged in 2014. Interestingly, the Pawan Kalyan led Jana Sena has polled about 11% of the votes. In the process, splitting the anti-TDP vote.
Lotus may bloom in Kerala, but Cong+ to make major gains: Times Now exit poll
Times Now-VMR exit poll projections predict that the lotus will finally bloom in Kerala. The party may get one seat in the state. Kerala gives reason to cheer for the Congress, the party is seen winning 15 of the 20 seats up for grabs. That’s an improvement of 3 seats for the Congress led UDF when compared to 2014.
But what's interesting is BJP's vote share climbing up from 10.5% in 2014 to 23.5% in 2019. That’s a close number three to CPI(M) led LDF which is predicted to get 26.5% of the vote.

Mahagathbandhan math may go awry in UP: Times Now exit poll
Out of UP’s 80 seats, the BJP and its allies are projected to garner 58 seats, now that’s less than the 73 seats the party got in 2014. The Mahagathbandhan is projected to get only 20 seats. Which means the Mulayam-Mayawati vote transfer calculations, which was the basic premise of the Mahagathbandhan arithmetic, seem to have gone awry.
