Congress spreading rumours on 370 in India, Abroad: Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed two poll rallies in Haryana on Tuesday where he mentioned the Rafale jets for the Indian Air Force, Article 370 and promised the water issue will be solved by stopping the water flowing to Pakistan.
“We got the first Rafale jet on Dussehra — did you feel happy or not that our Air Force got it? Didn't you feel the country is becoming stronger? You felt proud and happy but whenever the country feels so on any issue, it causes lot of discomfort to the Congress leaders. They have a negative mindset towards anything which makes people happy," Modi said in Kurukshetra.
Raising the Article 370 earlier in Charki-Dadri on Tuesday, Modi said the provision has been scrapped in J&K to respect the sacrifice made by the many martyrs from Haryana. “People of Haryana approve this step taken in national interest.
But Congress leaders are spreading rumours in India and abroad on this. Bangkok, Thailand, Vietnam --Congress can import abuses for me from anywhere but don't stab the country in the back,” Modi said.
The PM said those who harbour terror are attacking India because of the statements made by Congress leaders. “Why can't Congress keep politics separate from the issue of national security?” he asked. Modi said he was confident of a record victory in Haryana and promised the water issue will be solved by stopping the water flowing to Pakistan.
“Modi will stop this water and bring it to your houses. I will fight for you,” Modi said in Charki-Dadri. As he pitched for wrestler Babita Phogat, the BJP candidate from the Dadri, Modi said that Chinese President Xi Jinping has seen the movie based on her and her father. “Chinese president Xi Jinping during an informal meeting told me with a lot of pride that he has seen Dangal movie. He also told me that he saw in the movie what wonders daughters were capable of doing,” Modi said.
He alluded to former Congress finance minister P Chidamabaram’s arrest to indicate that he has acted to ensure culprits are brought to justice after the Congress had dared him to do so.
