  • Hospital Superintendent Shravan Kumar said the deceased had a travel history to Delhi.
  • "He was admitted five days ago and undergoing treatment for coronavirus. He passed away today, the official told PTI.
  • Following the death, the relatives of the man allegedly assaulted the hospital duty doctor, police said on Wednesday night.
  • Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar visited the hospital, which is treating coronavirus patients, and interacted with the doctors and decided to upgrade the security.

  • Kerala today reported 24 fresh Covid-19 cases taking the total number of patients under treatment to 237. Of the new cases, 12 are from Kasargod District

  • Nine of the fresh cases were reported in those who returned from overseas and the rest got the infection from local contact.

COVID-19 infected CISF jawan tests negative in second test

  • The head constable rank official was posted at the Mumbai international airport. He had tested positive on March 28 and was admitted to a local hospital.
  • "The jawan has tested negative for coronavirus in his latest medical test. He continues to remain under medical observation and isolation at a Mumbai hospital," a senior CISF official said.
  • More tests will be conducted in due course, he said.
  • The jawan is suspected to have contracted the disease from a passenger at the airport.
  • The 1.62 lakh-strong Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is the designated national civil aviation security force with 63 airports under its cover at present.

  • As many as 110 people who returned to Tamil Nadu from Tablighi Jamaat meet in Delhi tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday, taking the total cases in the state to 234, a top Health department official said.
