Coronavirus cases in India: State-wise break up of confirmed coronavirus cases

India, which reported its first coronavirus case on January 30 this year, has seen a steady increase in number of Covid-19 infections. The number of cases has now gone to 492. Maharashtra has maximum number of Coronavirus cases followed by Kerala.

Novel Coronavirus or Covid-19 cases in India is well over 800. According to latest figures from ICMR, 873 persons have been infected by the new virus (n-Cov) as of March 28 of which 826 are Indians and 47 foreign nationals. 79persons have been cured and discharged; one has been migrated.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on March 24th, announced a 21-day complete lockdown to fight the outbreak.

As per official figures, over 15 lakh people have been screened at various airports in India.

India's first case was reported on January 30 in Kerala.
