Here's how you can get an e-pass across India during the lockdown

The Centre and state governments have been urging citizens to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary. While some states like Kerala and Karnataka have started relaxing the rules, other states like Maharashtra have continued to follow stringent restrictions.

India has now completed fifty days under lockdown, put in place to curb the spread of COVID-19.

The Centre and state governments have been urging citizens to stay indoors, unless absolutely necessary. While some states like Kerala and Karnataka have started relaxing the rules, other states like Maharashtra have continued to follow stringent restrictions.

However, for people who may need to step out due to medical and other such emergencies, the govt has allowed for movement via e-pass services. The e-pass will serve as an indicator that you have permission of movement for specific reasons. E-passes can be secured online, through local authorities.

  • Include details such as Company name and factory address, line of business (specify why it is an essential commodity, names and copies of ID cards of the employees, any other specifications) and follow up with them.
