J&K: More than 21,000 families to get citizenship after abrogation of Article 370

Pakistan refugees living in J&K haven’t got Indian citizenship till now. After abrogation of Article 370, more than 21,000 families will get citizenship. These families are happy after revoke of Article 370 which means Jammu and Kashmir is no more a special state. While speaking to ANI, one of the locals said that earlier we used to face loss due to it but now after abrogation of Article 370, we are happy. Another local said, “For 70 years, people used to call us Pakistani, now we will get the citizenship. We faced several problems as they used to call us West Pakistani but now our kids will also get their rights.” Article 370 that used to give special status as state to Jammu and Kashmir was revoked in Parliament on August 05.
