    More traders test positive at Vashi APMC; market to remain open

    Synopsis

    The health department of Navi Mumbai municipal Corporation had issued an order to keep all the markets of the Vashi APMC closed for 15 days.

    Pune: A few more traders working at vegetable market and fruit market of Vashi APMC were found positive on Tuesday. However, the APMC administration has decided to keep the market open.

    The health department of Navi Mumbai municipal Corporation had issued an order to keep all the markets of the Vashi APMC closed for 15 days.

    However the administration of the Vashi APMC later late in the day clarified that the market will remain open. Only few shops and the affected wings of the market from where Covid-19 positive patients have been found, will remain closed.

    The government is under pressure to keep vegetable and grain markets open to keep prices of essential commodities under check.
