Nithyananda's passport cancelled, fresh application was rejected: MEA

The Narendra Modi-led NDA government has cancelled passport of controversial self-styled godman Nithyananda and rejected his application for a fresh one. MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar also said that the ministry has sensitised all its missions and posts abroad about Nithyananda.The controversial self-styled godman is on the run from the authorities for various crimes. His whereabouts had remained a mystery but in the news for establishing a "Hindu sovereign nation" for "dispossessed Hindus from around the world who lost the right to practice Hinduism authentically in their own countries."
