Who will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Hemant Soren as Jharkhand CM

The winning alliance has already sent invitations to several chief ministers and national leaders, sources said.

Ranchi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, various chief ministers, NCP chief Sharad Pawar will be among the leaders who will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Hemant Soren as Jharkhand chief minister on Sunday, the JMM said on Friday.

The winning alliance has already sent invitations to several chief ministers and national leaders, sources said.

Former president Pranab Mukherjee, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi and BSP chief Mayawati are among invitees who may skip the function, sources said. Also, Congress chief Sonia Gandhi is unlikely to attend the event as no confirmation has yet been received regarding her arrival.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will attend, said sources. Invitations have also been sent to Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, DMK leader MK Stalin and JDS leader H D Kumaraswami, but they are yet to confirm if they would attend, sources said.

Congress leaders Ahmed Patel, RPN Singh, K C Venugopal and Harish Rawat are expected to be present.
