MUMBAI: Indo-Arab Confederation Council, a forum for welfare of NRIs, has urged the states and the Centre to implement rehabilitation projects for Indians returning home after working long years in various foreign countries.

The national council meeting of the outfit, held here the other day, suggested that the government work out schemes for the returnees by utilising their capabilities, expertise, experiences and investment.

The meeting also wanted guidance centres to be set up in various states to advise overseas Indians on making investments in productive sectors, the outfit's general secretary Attakoya Pallikandy said in a statement.
