    Disappointed with Trump's proclamation on immigration: Sundar Pichai

    Synopsis

    "Immigration has contributed immensely to America’s economic success, making it a global leader in tech, and also Google the company it is today. Disappointed by today’s proclamation - we’ll continue to stand with immigrants and work to expand opportunity for all," Pichai said on the microblogging platform Twitter.

    Sundar Pichai, the Indian born CEO of Google and Alphabet said he was disappointed with Donald Trump's order to restrict immigration including H-1B visas.

    "Immigration has contributed immensely to America’s economic success, making it a global leader in tech, and also Google the company it is today. Disappointed by today’s proclamation - we’ll continue to stand with immigrants and work to expand opportunity for all," Pichai said on the microblogging platform Twitter.

    Pichai, a first generation immigrant who went to the US to do his master's, joined Google in 2004 after stints in Applied Materials and McKinsey. Since then, he climbed up the ladder to become the CEO of Google in 2015 after founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin restructured the company. Pichai was named the CEO of Alphabet, Google's parent in 2019.

    Pichai is part of a league of Indian American executives who lead several US-headquartered technology companies. Hyderabad-born Satya Nadella leads Microsoft, while Shantanu Narayen leads Adobe.

    As Indians will work 24/7 for food without considering work life balance that American cannot do it as they give preference to work life. So companies will lost the profits if they recruit American. Are there no talented people in America? Good Decision by Trump.

    Why is he disappointed - because he cant get cheap labor from India.
    Tell him him pay the right wage & he wl get plenty of guys/gals in USA.
    Its pretty simple !!
