Bulls are back, or are they?

08:17 PM

Traders with high risk appetite can use dips towards the 8,000-7,900 range to create fresh long positions with a stop below 7,700, for a target of 8,700

- Mazhar Mohammad, Chartviewindia.in

08:17 PM

After showing a positive divergence on the daily chart, the index managed to catch a bull stream. If the index manages to hold above 8,200, we may see some more upside towards immediate resistance in the 8,500-8,700 zone. Support is seen at 8,150-8,000

- Rohit Singre, LKP Securities

08:16 PM

Nifty closed above the high of last two sessions, which is a sign of relief for the bulls. The RSI oscillator is showing a positive divergence on the daily scale and prices also turned northward. However, the overall chart structure remains negative and this is a mere pullback move of the ongoing correction. At the current juncture, Nifty’s key resistance is placed at 8,555, and then 8,888 level, while supports are now placed at 7,800 and then 7,500 levels

Dow pares 700 pts gains even as US reaches deal on $2 trillion aid

Wall Street on Wednesday slumped from the day’s high even as Washington reached a deal for a $2 trillion stimulus package to help businesses and millions of Americans hit by the economic fallout of the coronavirus pandemic. At, 7.50 PM (IST), the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 32.03 points, or 0.15%, at 20,672.88.
05:16 PM

While Nifty has bounced back, the short-term trend remains down. Nifty could resume its downtrend if the immediate support of 8,174-7,966 is broken. Any further pullback rally could find resistance in 8,377-8,576 zone

- Deepak Jasani, Head Retail Research, HDFC Securities

04:39 PM

Nifty closed sharply in the green and broader recovery was visible in the market. Nifty has surpassed the 5-DEMA, which had not been crossed during the entire correction. A phase of the relief rally seems to be unfolding and once the index sustains above 8,300, expect a larger recovery towards 9,000. Given the expected recovery, we have initiated positional buy on Nifty Call option. Support: 8,000-7,700 & Resistance: 8,550-8,850

- Amit Shah, Technical Research Analyst, Indiabulls Securities

04:33 PM

The market mirrored the buoyancy in Dow Jones on expectations of a stimulus package. Valuations below long-term averages do invite long-term investors, as m-cap to GDP ratio neared GFC lows yesterday. Even as participation by institutional investors was less today, we witnessed broad strength in largecaps and high quality midcaps

- S Ranganathan, Head of Research at LKP Securities

04:30 PM

The market rallied after the nationwide lockdown was announced, mainly driven by financials. Global markets have been trading in the green, driven by expectations of stimulus measures to support the respective economies and not because of any change in ground realities. A much more stable rally can happen only after any news regarding the virus containment comes in
