Jio promises internet connectivity to SMBs at 1/10th the cost
Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani said that they had tied up with Microsoft to bring in the Azure Cloud on Jio Network to make connectivity more accessible for the SME sector.
"For a similar service, customers abroad pay $1000 a month. Today, we are taking the bold step of giving these applications along with our connectivity to SMBs at 1/10th the cost i.e. starting at only Rs 1500 a month," he said.
Jio has also tied up Microsoft to bring in the Azure Cloud on Jio Network, targeting the enterprise and business users seeking a technological shift. Ambani said all SMBs will have access to unlimited enterprise grade voice and data services, video conferencing, security solutions, marketing and sales solutions and all Microsoft productivity tools that will help them run their businesses at par with the large enterprises.
"The medium and large enterprises spend even higher - between Rs 3 - 5 lakh per month - for which we have custom designed plans with similar value benefit. With this step, I am certain that the 2-5 million MSME sector will propel towards prosperity and march towards creating a new digital India," he added.
