Eight Roads leads Rs 92-cr round in digital company Whatfix

For Eight Roads, the investment in Whatfix is the latest by the investment firm in 2019. In January, it had led a Rs 45-crore round in veterinary pharmaceutical startup Ashish Life Science.

NEW DELHI: Eight Roads Ventures has led a Rs 92-crore round of equity financing in digital adoption venture Whatfix, the third bet placed by the proprietary investment arm of Fidelity International in the current calendar year.

The Series-B round has also seen anticipation by F Prime Capital, the US-based sister fund of Eight Roads Ventures, and Cisco Investments. Stellaris Venture Partners and Helion Venture Partners, two existing backers of Whatfix, have also participated. “Whatfix has a compelling offering, vision, and management team to transform the way software applications are used in business. We look forward to using our global network and enterprise SaaS expertise to support Whatfix as it continues to innovate on product and expand its enterprise customer base,” Shweta Bhatia, partner at Eight Roads Ventures, said. Proceeds from the Series-B round will be used by the company to expand into newer markets, and grow its R&D teams.
