Chqbook.com has announced the appointment of Sachin Arora as the Chief Technology & Product Officer (CTPO), for the Gurgaon-based financial technology startup. Arora, who is moving on from Amazon, is considered to be an expert in the e-commerce industry and has worked in technology and customer experience roles at multiple organizations including Trilogy, Myntra, and others.

This move can be considered as part of the plan to build a strong user-centric platform for the startup’s financial services that allows customers to explore finance products such as home loans, personal loans and credit cards from over 30 banks and NBFC’s. The curated marketplace also provides customized products for SME and Kirana owners.

“Fintech is at a nascent stage in transforming aspirational India’s dreams into reality. Chqbook’s unique model serves both sides of India – the urban millennial aspirational Indian seeking simplified financial products, and the urban Kirana and SME’s,” said Arora, adding, “I am keen to keep Chqbook’s focus on customer experience as we scale, and ensure that our curated marketplace maximize value and benefit customers.”

To which Chqbook’s CEO Vipul Sharma said, “Sachin is a strong, pragmatic leader in the technology and product domain in the country and has seen the Chqbook.com journey closely over the last one year. Sachin has proved his mettle many times in the past and Chqbook is excited to have him on board.”
