The quality of field research has always been questionable and its severity has grown over the last decade.
Tradition field approach narrows down the respondents who can be accessed for the study. Also, in recent times it has become a challenge for the field investigators to reach the gated communities/residential complexes/high rises.
“Human Error” component arising out of participation of an investigator is removed.
With Economic Times' strong digital presence and wide reach - Digital medium approach fares better-getting survey participation from busy, difficult to approach target groups. Our survey participates are English speaking, financially literate and spread across geographies.
Six Steps Methodology
The urban netizens are someone who resides in urban India and uses the internet at least once a month.
The Universe Enumeration has been done by JUXT SMART MANDATE
Once the universe is known, the sample can be drawn through random sampling across 128 cells stratified groups based on Demographics – Zone (4), Town class (4), Age (4) & Gender (2).
The sample assigned to an extrapolation cell is projected depending on their numerical relation to the extrapolation cell (e.g. 5 sample out of 10 in the universe = extrapolation factor 2).
The data is collected through an online survey.
A rigorous cleaning procedure is followed to weed out non-serious responses. In case of doubt in quality, the entire string of data from the respondent is dropped.
TET RICS reports are available in printed format. ET RICS also offers online dashboard access to market information.
